The Sports & Youth Services Minister of Mizoram – Robert Romawia Royte today inaugurated the ‘Fit India Freedom Run 3.0’ at the Assam Rifles Ground in Aizawl.
Organized by the Mizoram State Sports Council (MSSC); this unique endeavour aims to indulge citizens into different fitness activities.
Speaking at the occasion, the Minister reiterated on the significance of maintaining a fit physique, and noted that Mizoram, with the rest of the nation, also launched the first phase of Fit India Freedom Run on August 29, 2019.
He stated that through physical fitness, many diseases viz diabetics, hypertension etc can be avoided.
Altogether, 9 grassroot football academies, 5 different sports discipline’s Non-Residential Coaching Centres, various sports associations, SAI centre and USAM took part in the ‘Fit India Freedom Run 3.0’.
